Image Description:

This is a composite of Jupiter and its moons taken with a webcam through my Newtonian. A second (non-normalized) stack was layered on top of the main one in Photoshop in order to bring out the rather faint moons Callisto and Europa. Compare this webcam image with the old one taken with a Digital Rebel. No comparison, even though the seeing was equally lousy on the nights these images were taken, respectively. This is probably my best planetary image to date. Earth's North is up.
